The first recreational club in Hubli, this project was our foray into the Karnataka landscape. Being avid travellers and wanting to diversity into smaller towns beyond the booming Bengaluru metropolitan region this project was an important milestone for our practice. Low rise architecture on a highly contoured site lent the project a unique look right from the point one lands at the airport across the road. Alongwith addressing the multipurpose needs of spaces in a recreational project, the landscape took on an earthy look in its design and finishes concentrating on local materials. This transformed into a journey of discovery of new materials and their particular details as the project progressed.
